How it works

Choose a deck

Start with Tsugi's official Core 300, or build your own deck from scratch.

Good to know

What is spaced repetition?

Each review is timed for the moment you're about to forget, so the gaps grow from minutes to days to months.

What is FSRS?

The Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler, a modern open-source algorithm. It estimates how well you know each card and schedules the review just before you'd forget it.

Is Tsugi free?

Yes. If paid features ever arrive, we'll tell you before anything you use for free starts to cost money.

I'm a complete beginner. Is Tsugi for me?

Yes. Core 300 starts with はい and いいえ, with audio for every word. Learn hiragana first and it will make much more sense.

How much time does it take each day?

A few minutes. A deck adds ten new cards a day unless you change it, and FSRS spends your time on the words that need it.

Coming from Anki?

Tsugi uses the same FSRS scheduling, with no add-ons or settings to tune. Anki deck import isn't available yet.
